EVE #2

theatre performance

“Fear is uncomfortable, it calls us to be alive near another living being, to not be nor talk elsewhere, to not be distracted.”
Chandra Livia Candiani, Silence is a living thing

Second part of a project started last year, EVE #2 looks into the issue of fear (and the censorship of fear) through an autobiographical story: Paolo, a long-time friend of the author’s, refuses to leave his mother’s house because of a trauma that has been affecting him for many years.

This performance is a unique chance to evoke his life with Paolo through fragments of memory, as well as an attempt to build a map of an old affection, still vivid in spite of the burden of years and distance. This work also offers the chance to listen to the pain of those excluded from the flows of contemporary world, trapped and suspended in their rejection of reality.
